The desire to write a culinary art book. The dream of publishing photos in an 82-page book.

The meeting of two enthusiasts. A blend of know-how, local produce, nature and art. The fusion of creativity, instinct and meticulousness.

This project is a vision of Cantalien gastronomy by Michelin-starred chef Renaud Darmanin and a look at local know-how by photographer Thomas Mougeolle through a photographic and culinary book.

"When we thought about the reality of this book, we really wanted our two disciplines, cooking and photography, to merge and reveal our perception of the Cantal in the same way".

The Fusion book project is the result of two years' creative work between Michelin-starred chef Renaud Darmanin and photographer/videographer Thomas Mougeolle.

The chef selected 22 regional products from the Cantal region, which he is particularly fond of, and transformed them into 22 gourmet recipes. The recipes were specially created for the book, before being added to the menu of the Michelin-starred restaurant "L'Auberge de la Tour" in Marcolès. The products have been selected not only for their quality and location, but also because they have been prepared by local producers with whom the chef has worked for many years.
